Breaking News: Teamsters Reach Tentative Agreement with UPS Averting August 1st Strike

Today, July 25th, Teamsters posted that they “reached the most historic tentative agreement for workers in the history of UPS, protecting and rewarding more than 340,000 UPS Teamsters nationwide.”

This agreement comes after months of negotiations, and includes benefits like higher wages for both part-time and full-time workers, and air conditioning in delivery trucks.

This agreement is tentative, and member voting to ratify begins August 3 and will conclude August 22. Experts estimate that UPS handles a quarter of all U.S parcel volume every day.

“Together we reached a win-win-win agreement on the issues that are important to Teamsters leadership, our employees and to UPS and our customers,” Carol Tomé, UPS CEO, said in a statement.

Audit Logistics will continue to monitor the negotiations process as we look to August.
